The Piedmont Triad region is located in central North Carolina. This regional market is between the Charlotte MSA to its southwest and the Triangle region (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) to its east.

Guilford County (Greensboro and High Point): Guilford County includes the cities of Greensboro and High Point. Greensboro is the county seat and the third largest city in North Carolina (population approx. 298,263 in 2021). High Point is adjacent to Greensboro and is the ninth largest city in NC (population approx. 114,086 in 2021).
Forsyth County (Winston Salem): Forsyth County’s county seat and primary city is Winston-Salem, the fifth largest city in NC (population approximately 250,320 persons in 2021).
Alamance County (Burlington): Alamance County is adjacent to and east of Guilford County. It is a transition area between the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) and Triad region. It’s largest city is Burlington, the eighteenth largest city in NC (population approx. 58,818 in 2021). This county is a bedroom communities for both the Triad and Triangle regional markets. Alamance County is within a 30 minutes drive of both Greensboro and Durham (NC’s fourth largest city with 332,680 persons in 2021).
