DCR leased 2,135 SF on a short term basis to a local user. This was to a) generate cash flow to cover TICAM costs and b) to make sure a vacant building maintained its life. While not a profit center, this is proof DCR “acts like an owner” when working on a listing assignment. In the meanwhile DCR continues to market this property for sale, which is the larger goal of ownership. This property is ultimately sold in 3Q23.

Dowell Commercial Realty represented Knight Enterprises of High Point, LLC / a license plate agency user in the lease of 1,417 SF at 1701 Westchester Drive, Suite 220. This retail space is located in a former mall converted to an approx. 277,000 SF mixed use project (which includes a senior multi-family use, medical office uses, as well as other office / retail uses). Dowell Commercial represented the tenant and Lindsay Commercial Real Estate represented the landlord.

Dowell Commerical worked with Auction.com to sell this vacant 1-story building. Property improvements included a 2,816 square feet prior bank building (built 1997) on a 0.84 acre parcel of land. The purchaser of this asset was High Point University, whom required this property for long term growth plans.
